The Law Firm of Edward R. In another case, we had the pleasure of representing a woman who works for the United States Postal Service who was savagely attacked by a dog while she was on duty. Workplace Injury and Thirty Party Liability
The Law Firm of Edward R. Dougherty, Esquire had the pleasure to represent a sixty-year old man who was in his vehicle working when his vehicle was struck by another motor vehicle. Not only did we bring a successful claim for workmen’s compensation benefits, including wage loss and medical, but also we were able to succeed on behalf of the client in a lawsuit against the third party tortfeasor in a personal injury lawsuit in which we were able to obtain a significant settlement on behalf of the client.
Motorcycles
Last year the Law Firm of Edward R. Dougherty, Esquire had the privilege of representing a 37 year-old man who was riding his motorcycle on his way to work when a car came out of a parking lot and crossed in front of him wherein the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the defendant’s motor vehicle causing serious injuries to the client. The injuries to the client consisted of ruptured spleen, which required a spleenectomy, facial lacerations, multiple skin abrasions, hemorrhagic shock, and ventricular tachycardia. The injured client was not able to return to work for several months. In lieu of the serious nature of the injuries and the obvious liability of the defendant, a significant six-figure verdict was obtained on behalf of the client.
